Are you using QuickBooks Online yet? Are you thinking about it?  We made the switch at Coolfront Technologies at the beginning of 2015 from QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks Online.

The biggest benefit of QuickBooks Online is that it is cloud based.  Data is securely stored on Intuit’s servers. Now you and your bookkeeper or accountant can log on and access your QuickBooks Online account anywhere at anytime. This is especially beneficial for service-based businesses.

Using QuickBooks Online makes it easier in your office too.  There is no software to manage, which means you will not have to do periodic updates, halting your work flow.  There is nothing to back up, since all of the data is stored on Intuit’s servers.

Some other functions that using QuickBooks Online makes easier is sending invoices and statements to customers. You no longer have to download an invoice and attach it to a separate email.  You can simply email it from within QuickBooks Online.  QuickBooks Online will also track when the invoice was sent and when it was viewed by your customer.

You can connect your bank accounts and credit cards to QuickBooks Online to provide a more accurate, up-to-the-minute look at your transactions.  It enables you to better track individual credit card transactions and make sure each transaction is assigned to the specific account you would like them to be applied to.  It’s much easier.

QuickBooks Online also seamlessly works with Coolfront Mobile, at no additional cost.  You can easily turn on the functionality yourself, or we would be glad to help you with the setup process.
